Bwenieve Platform Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Bwenieve processes personal information when you use any Bwenieve product or service. Product-specific details are described in the applicable product addendum.

We process information you provide to create and use an account, such as your name and email address; usage information (clicks, analytics); and payment information (processed by our payment providers — we do not store full card or M-Pesa credentials).

We use information to provide, operate, improve, and secure our services, to communicate with you, and to comply with legal obligations.

Where a product provides analytics, privacy-safe techniques are used. IP addresses and user agents are hashed rather than stored in raw form where feasible, and bot traffic is filtered.

Bwenieve Read Privacy Addendum

We may collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, author details, publisher details, and support information when you buy books, request help, submit publishing information, or communicate with Bwenieve Read.

Purchase information may include book title, order reference, amount, currency, payment method, payment status, delivery option, and receipt details. Payment providers process payment credentials according to their own security practices.

We may store your purchased books, order references, reader identity, device continuity, library state, reading progress, and last-opened information so you can continue reading.

We may use marketplace, purchase, support, and reading analytics to improve discovery and reliability. Bwenieve Read may contact readers, authors, and publishers about purchases, receipts, library access, support, publishing submissions, and service updates.

We may retain, disclose, or process information when required for legal compliance, payment disputes, fraud prevention, copyright enforcement, security, tax/accounting, and lawful requests.
